Voter registration and travel warning for Saudi Arabia

17 August 2004

Please be reminded that the US Embassy in Beirut has applications for requesting absentee ballots. Please come to the embassy to pick one up (between 8-11am Monday through Thursday) or look online at www.FVAP.gov to get your absentee ballot. This will only take a minute but is very important. Please make your voice heard by electing officials that reflect your views and remember to vote in this upcoming presidential election. The election will be November 2nd and the process of voting from overseas will take about 2 months, including registration.

There has been a new travel warning issued for Saudi Arabia yesterday, Thursday, August 12th. Please see http://travel.state.gov for the entire text of the message.

Thank you.
Sarah Spodek
Vice Consul
US Embassy Beirut
