NONIMMIGRANT VISA SERVICES

B-2 Visitor Visas (for tourism, family visit, taking exams, etc.)

Lebanese citizens and other nationals who wish to visit the United States for business purposes (conferences, meetings, training) should follow the following steps:

  • Register for an appointment at any branch of Credit Libanais Bank, where they must pay a $100 (or equivalent in Lebanese currency) non-refundable application fee. Both copies of the bank receipt must be presented at the time of the interview.
  • Complete and sign DS-156 (electronic version) and DS-157 application forms, also obtainable from Credit Libanais Bank.
  • Attach a recent photograph to the application.
  • Possess a passport, signed by the applicant and with a validity date at least six months beyond the applicant's intended period of stay in the United States. (Note: If more than one person is included in the passport, each person desiring a visa must make a separate application.)
  • Be prepared to discuss at the visa interview: compelling social and economic ties to Lebanon, such as family ties, property or employment; planned activities in the United States, such as a tour or family visit; and funds to cover expenses in the United States.

  • NOTE: VISITORS ARE NOT PERMITTED TO ACCEPT EMPLOYMENT DURING THEIR STAY IN THE U.S.

Special Requirements for Medical Students:

Medical students seeking a visa to take the CSA exam and/or attend a medical elective/elective/clerkship should also provide the following documentation.

  • A letter from the medical school verifying the applicant's enrollment.
  • Transcripts showing three years' grades, translated into English.
  • Proof of either acceptance for the CSA exam and/or correspondence related to the intended medical elective/rotation/clerkship.
  • Applicant must be in his/her last three years of medical study.
