Time Required for Issuance

The Embassy cannot predict how long it will take for a particular visa to be issued. Many applicants receive their visas on the same day as they interview. Many others require clearances from the United States, which can take anywhere between one week and several months to be approved. We urge applicants to apply at least three months in advance of their planned travel.
