electro-cardiogram machine, sterilizer, gynecology table and others.
The Green Service Program also benefited from USAID in the amount
of $17,500. Green Service Program is located in Cornet Chehwan in
Keserwan and is involved in spreading awareness on environmental
issues such as reforestation, fire control, recycling, and protection
of biodiversity. The U.S. donation will help the organization procure
basic equipment to effectively implement their programs, which will
benefit more than 50 public and private schools, community groups
and villages.
The donations are part of USAID's small awards program that helps
improve the livelihood of Lebanese citizens through humanitarian
assistance, medical care, orphan care, environmental issues, and
other social services.
